James Island Outreach was born almost 30 years ago as the communities of James Island and Folly Beach called out for help after the devastation of Hurricane Hugo. This call was answered by the churches, civic organizations, local government and volunteers of our community. Since that time, James Island Outreach has been serving our neighbors in need with emergency food, medicine and utility assistance.
James Island Outreach now reaches out to its community for support! Having recently moved to a new, much larger facility, help us achieve our goal of expanding the services we offer to our community and to grow our mission. Our mission is to strengthen the communities of James Island and Folly Beach by providing a range of services to our clients, uniting the community in service to those in need, and by improving the quality of life for all.
