Did you know that more than 19% of the population of James Island falls below HUD’s guideline for very low income? You can help provide access to nutritious food, essential utilities, and community resources for your neighbors experiencing financial difficulty.

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, the biggest giving day of the year, and we hope you will support James Island Outreach in your giving!

At some point in time, we all fall on hard times. Many of our neighbors on fixed incomes are struggling with rising costs of food, fuel, and housing. Others have experienced illness, job loss or loss of childcare resulting in lost income.  Everyone deserves to know there are organizations and community here to support them with compassion and grace.

In the last year, James Island Outreach has had over 2800 client assistance visits (including 136 new households).  We have distributed over 190,000lbs of food and provided over $35,000 in financial assistance.

We are so grateful for all the support provided to James Island Outreach over the past two years.  During the pandemic, James Island Outreach has been able to answer the call of those in need throughout the Lowcountry by expanding its services and collaborating with our partner organizations to assist those in need.

As we enter 2022, James Island Outreach is in a position to further expand our services as we continue our mission of Helping Neighbors and Uniting Community!  Your gift to James Island Outreach this Giving Tuesday is essential to make growth possible.

Please donate this holiday season to lift up your brothers and sisters in need.  We are thankful for your commitment to our clients and your community.

With Thanks and Appreciation,

Kevin Tingley
