Food Assistance

Client Choice Food Pantry

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 am – 11:30 am

  • Registered JIO clients may shop once per month

Our client-choice wellness pantry shelves are stocked through donations from individuals, local congregations and civic organizations, local grocery stores, the Low Country Food Bank, and the USDA.

A monthly distribution is intended to offset your food expenses and will include dry and canned good, produce, meat and bread items.  We can occasionally offer dairy items such as milk and eggs.

Volunteers from the community will assist you with the shopping experience.

A free taxi service is available on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month to help clients return home with their groceries.  If you can get here on foot, with a friend, or by bike, we’ll help you return home!  View the taxi service schedule here.

Drive-Through Food Distribution

  • Saturdays, 9:30 am-11:30 am

  • Intended to help clients through times of need in between monthly pantry visits.

Produce, bread and meat items are typically also available on Saturdays in limited quantities.
