Our excitement about the imminent move and transfer of operations to our new facility on Camp Road is intensified by our selection of Scott Graule, our new Executive Director. At our JIO Board meeting this week, Scott’s appointment was confirmed by unanimous vote.
Scott brings an impressive professional background to his work as Executive Director. He served his country as a Navy hospital corpsman and dental technician on active duty for 10 years and as a reservist for another 14 years. He worked for 10 years as a dental technician for MUSC and presently operates a
dental lab on Folly Road. Scott is also an active member of James Island Presbyterian Church where he has coordinated the “meals on wheels” program, teaches confirmation classes, and assists with youth and music ministries. He and his wife, Pam, have three adult children and four grandchildren.
Scott is looking for an opportunity to serve our community and is thrilled with his selection as our new Executive Director. We anticipate he will officially begin his duties within the next 1-2 weeks. He looks forward to meeting you and all our constituents as we enter this new and exciting phase of our ministry.
A fellow servant,
Hal Hanvey
